Born in France, Jean moved to the UK in 1996 and became established in the film industry as a Sound Designer / Dubbing Mixer. Since then he has worked on a range of feature-length films released throughout the world. He also edited and mixed the sound of hundreds of documentaries, trailers and television adverts.

Jean works principally as a sound designer for film and television both in the advertising and motion picture industry. In 2004 he worked with National Geography Development Director Janelle Balnicke to co-produce and edit the highly publicised 2004 Atlantis Cyprus Expedition, a documentary which charted the first scientific voyage to explore the southern waters off the island of Cyprus, the location of a possible lost city. Shortly after two feature length documentaries followed work produced by the History Channel and NBC.

As a skilled pianist and composer of electronic music, he mixed and played keyboards for a large number of bands before moving to the UK. He is a member of the association of motion picture sound AMPS.

Initially Jean worked as a sound consultant and sound supervisor operating within major British public and governmental inquiries. He then became responsible for a wide range of corporate media productions working for high profiles ministers operating at Whitehall government headquarters. Shortly after 2003 he decided to concentrate in audio design for the motion picture industry

Jean is open to any challenge in the field of specialised audio creation. He is also associated with a team of AMPS award-winning audio designers ready to collaborate on any project.
